About Joy Mega

Joy Mega has dedicated her entire legal career to practicing employment law. Her invaluable experience ranges from defending corporations to prosecuting cases on behalf of aggrieved West Virginia workers.

After graduating from West Virginia University College of Law in 2005, Joy joined the law firm of Bowles Rice McDavid Graff & Love, LLP and was a member of its labor and employment law group. After five years with Bowles Rice, Joy joined Bailess Law, PLLC, a plaintiff-oriented firm specializing in employment litigation. While at Bailess Law, PLLC, Joy successfully litigated cases under the West Virginia Human Rights Act, Family Medical Leave Act, West Virginia Wage Payment and Collection Act, and West Virginia common law. She has also obtained favorable results for combat veterans whose jobs were eliminated after they returned from Iraq and Afghanistan.

Joy has been recognized as a member of the Order of Barristers, she was a member of the Moot Court National Team, a runner-up in the West Virginia University College of Law Baker Cup Competition, and an award winner for the Best Brief in the Baker Cup Competition.
